Adam can walk with Kings and has the common touch. He's a well educated, well read, well rounded humanist. A person of great compassion, Ballachey seeks out the interests, beauty and worth of all people. He is engaging and always interested in the whole human story, which makes him a great documentary director. As part of the new wave of commercial directors, he's an accredited documentarian, accomplished DP and talented editor. He fuses beautiful images of real life situations with the sensitivity of a craftsman telling the full story within an artistic paradigm.
Adam has worked with celebrated advertising clients, educational networks and news organizations. His camera credits on feature documentaries include The Learning Channel, MTV, Bravo, PBS's NOVA Science Now and Frontline, Disney and others. He directed and produced "Search for Inca Gold," which was distributed on A&E's Peabody Award Winning Series, "The New Explorer's."
He received his BA in Anthropology and Photography from UC Berkeley and attended Stanford's MA Program in Documentary Film. Rounding this off, he completed the training program at the Center for Investigative Reporting in San Francisco.
